Four hundred years ago, a young boy had a dream of Swarajya where all would be equal, justice would prevail and sufferings of the masses would end. He dedicated his entire life first to establish and then to protect this Swarajya. Along the way, he fought against injustice, against slavery of the foreigners and against inhuman treatment of the people. Shivaji was his name. India has seen many a great rulers with bigger armies and larger empires. But, there was one and only one Shivaji and nobody else like him.
People die, empires are lost and priorities change. But, still, hundreds of years after he left us, his life and his character inspire the millions and millions of people.
